Anything is Possible
Born in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Munira Premji moved to Canada at 20 and embarked on a career in Human Resources. She married the love of her life Nagib and became a mom of two children.
In 2012, Munira was diagnosed with two Cancers. Over the next 7 years, she underwent extensive chemotherapy and stem-cell transplants to combat the stage 3 Multiple Myeloma and stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Subsequently she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
During this time, she journaled her experiences in an online blog that inspired thousands of followers around the world.
Now Munira is on a mission to share her experiences and message of hope & resiliency with individuals and organizations globally. Embracing the core values of authenticity and curiosity, Munira is outrageously positive and approaches life with a sense of joy and a can-do attitude.
The Book: Choosing Hope
Being a writer has been a life-long dream for Munira. As a little girl, Munira would gather all her dolls and read her pretend books to them. As an adult, Munira took courses in Magazine Journalism at Ryerson. This memoir, Choosing Hope: 1 Woman, 3 Cancers, is about Munira’s journey with cancer and represents her first foray as an author.
Munira's first book will be published by Mawenzi House in April 2020!
